The Higher Self is simply another title for the stronger, truer and real you, who, although never absent, is seldom paid attention to. When something just right for you arrives out of the blue, for instance, it is because your Higher Self is acting m^. the interests of your honest desires. It is of course easier to believe that it is simply ply luck, coincidence, or ‘too good to be true’, which is why opportunities are often ignored. Because your Higher Desire Power always operates indirectly, it causes you to take the longest way round as the quickest way for you to attain your desire. If necessary, therefore, it will cause your well-laid plans to be overturned, resulting in you thinking that failure and defeat, rather than success and victory, have come to you.

Often it will have to tear you away from your existing, seemingly comfortable, circumstances, and throw you between a rock and a hard place in order to let you see the success it has attained for you. A characteristic of highly successful individuals is that they have experienced ‘the dark night of the soul’. As one who has experienced finally ending up on the right track said, `It took my whole world to cave in before I could see that the success I craved was beneath my feet. I was just walking in the shoes of someone I felt I should be, rather than wanted to be.’ Although their previous false activities brought it on themselves, genuinely successful people always agree that the price paid was well worth it.

It is usually because the four keys essential to channel your Higher Desire Power are never utilised that it is forced to take the action it does. How else can it realise your desires, which is its sole function, if you insist on building the frustration within you by virtue of being on the wrong track? Your Higher Self freel_y employs the faculties of the subconscious and the collective conscious in its work to magnetically draw towards you what you ardently desire. It is not creating something for you, it is manifesting what already exists for you.

Uninfluenced by the distractions Man fills his life with, homing pigeons, migrating birds and animals lost over long distances successfully home in on what they want. Anyone establishing a sanctuary for birds will tell you that even the strangest of species, indigenous to other countries, will soon begin to travel towards it. High or low, the Higher Self will manifest its power. Man can harness Desire Power in the same way that he has successfully harnessed other great natural forces available to him, through application of the following four practices.
